Mother's Day

Mother's Day is a celebration honoring mothers and celebrating motherhood, maternal bonds and the influence of mothers in society. It is celebrated on various days in many parts of the world, yet most commonly in March, April, or May. It complements Father's Day, the celebration honoring fathers.

While many of us in India, dont really celebrate the day as Mother's day, the importance of the mother in our own living can never be fully understood.

Even though, Sunday was the official Mother's Day, we all need to go back to our homes, or call up our mothers or our children's mother ( our wife ) and thank them for being what they are .

It is only because of them, that we are able to actually spend days and many a times even nights working in  our jobs, including week ends .

I know of a few friends and colleaques, who because their spouses did not like the exciting world of retail, have left them and gone to join boring office jobs !!!

So, if  you are reading this, take the mobile or the phone after your shift , and call her and thank them .

I bet she will be very surprised. Why not get her a gift too. Need not be expensive, it is the thought that counts in these things.
