Indentifying a new Advertising Opportunity ?
We retailers start our day by 10.30 am at the store and often down the shutters by 10 pm, 7 days a week.We rarely get the time to get out of the store and admire our efforts from outside.
Yet, we miss important promotional opportunities that are there, just outside our stores !
Look at this store frontage at about 10 AM in the morning. From about 5 AM till about 10.30 AM, this road gets a lot of traffic, and with hardly any other store open at this time, it is a great opportunity to remind the customers about the store without any distraction...
Same is the case with the store opposite this store :-
Store Managers like us should look for new opportunities every time, to remind our customers, that we value their business. Just a painted signage of the store opening , holidays if any, is a good start .
Customers driving past or walking past will know, when the store is open for business.
Opportunity Cost :-
We spend lakhs of rupees on hoardings and print advertisements in newspapers.
A Hoarding near this store, in a busy residential and commercial complex of Jayanagar 4th Block will be about Rs. 3 lakhs per month for a day advertisement. Ok, for a hoarding that works only for about 5 hours, it can still be valued at Rs. 1 lakh per month at least ?
Business opportunity for Signage Makers :-
Since, a flex cannot be pasted on this kind of a rolling shutter, it is a good opportunity for brands and vendors to develop a new kind of " flex " material which can still be pasted or rolled onto the shutter.
Any suggestions on how this can be done ? It might be a brilliant new opportunity for some one who can crack this opportunity or problem, which ever way one looks at it ?
