Ms.Kalpana went to the Tanishq Store in Jayanagar for jewellery shopping, and having spent a couple of hours shopping came back, to the parking lot to take her car out.
The valet told her that the back tyre of her car had a puncture. Disappointed,she then asked if there was a puncture repair shop nearby and resigned herself to go and fetch the guy and having to spend another hour or so to get the car back on the road.
She was in for a surprise, when the Valet of the store told her, he could help her, by changing the tyre himself. He then got the jack out, pulled out the punctured tyre, took out the stepney from the car, fixed the good tyre and put the punctured
in the boot.
When she offered to pay for his services, he promptly refused to take any money and said, it was all part of the service.

Kalpana has told this story to some 20 people already and am sure, she will tell another 20 in the near future. Customers will remember this incident when they hear the Tanishq name again, or may even go there next time ! Free advertising , from the customer . No money can buy that ...
That is the power of a simple "training" of even the valet on his contribution to the store performance. All this will come back in the form of increasing sales in the future.
